Join us in Tequisquiapan, Mexico, in January 22-30, 2027 for a unique workshop experience in old Mexico. The workshop is limited to 12 participants to ensure an intimate experience.
The workshop includes 8 days of accommodations, 7 days of painting, meals, and transportation (private driver) to and from Querétaro airport. Meals include all breakfasts and lunches prepared by a private chef at the villa, plus a farewell dinner/celebration with music at the villa. Accommodations are double occupancy and include en plein air sessions, tours, and a private cooking class.
The workshop does not include airfare, trip insurance, tips, meals other than those noted, or optional activities such as massage, yoga, and private wine tasting.
Cost is 1,800 USD based on double occupancy ($1700 if you are a returning participant!). There is a $350 fee to upgrade to single occupancy. We encourage travelers to pair up and share rooms since space is limited. A $300 deposit is required when making a reservation.
This trip includes a weeklong stay in Tequisquiapan with daily indoor watercolor/pen & ink instruction, plein air painting, pen & ink watercolors and urban sketching in the town and the surrounding areas.
The workshop comprises 7 days of painting including basics of watercolor, urban sketching and painting, pen & ink sketching/painting and composing/creating impressionistic watercolor works. The class includes sketching fundamentals, an in-class three-step watercolor process, pencil & ink urban sketching techniques, and en plein air watercolor painting throughout Tequisquiapan.

This trip package will include accommodations at 1 of 2 Villas, pickup and transportation to and from airport on day of arrival and departure, all Breakfast and Lunches (private chef) at main Villa, a departure dinner at main Villa, Eight (8) day stay/Seven (7) day indoor painting workshop and instruction (9:30-1:30pm) with optional plein air painting in the afternoon on 2 days, a cooking Class (from private chef), select guided tours, morning Yoga, craft Tour and Shopping and a visit to Bernal. The workshop includes watercolor, pen & ink sketching/watercolor, urban sketching techniques and en plein air instruction.
